Suburban Academy is the only lethal weapons academy that
provides classroom instruction and supplies the ammunition for range qualification. Firearms are also supplied if needed.

Suburban Academy is certified by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Training and Education as a Lethal Weapons Training Certification Center. Three training courses are available:
- Basic Course with Firearms — 40 hours - $435.00
- Basic Course without Firearms — 26 hours - $290.00
- Recertification Course — 8 hours - $95.00
